A family home in Bavaria.

For a young family, I designed a proposal for their new home in Bavaria. The design plays with the balance between massiveness and lightness. A particular emphasis lies on horizontality: staggered, long horizontal lines define the silhouette and let the house appear flat and elegant despite its considerable volume.

Natural materials and earthy tones shape the atmosphere. Strategically placed apertures of light create tension and lend the rooms a subtle architectural dramaturgy.
